Current Obsession: Lana Del Rey

Despite her somewhat lackluster performance on SNL, I cannot get enough of Lana Del Rey. I have been listening to her new album Born to Die nonstop. Her voice is so sultry and intoxicating. If you're just now looking into her music, I highly recommend the title track, National Anthem and Dark Paradise.
Aside from the fact that her music is fantastic, she's a total fox which only further contributes to my obsession with her. She's impeccably dressed, I admire the way she balances a wholesome 60's girl group style with edgy pieces that keep the look from being too delicate. She's also my ultimate hair idol. Seriously, her hair is perfect. I'm surprised anyone noticed her hiccups on SNL when her hair was so distractingly memorizing.

So....... I know I said awhile back ago that I would resume posting on this blog but to be frank, it just was not high on my priority list last semester. Now, though, things are a little different. I'm super busy with student teaching but I feel like I need something like this to keep my sanity in tact. This weekend I plan on posting some possible d.i.y. projects, as well as some things I am digging at the current moment. This time, I hope to actually stick to my word.
